An ad campaign that shows the value of being original. Includes the production of six 30-second commercials, as well as photographs for billboards, posters, and supermarket displays.
There are several malta drinks brewed in the Caribbean, but Malta Carib is the original: This ad series celebrates that originality, and the originality in all of us. CMB contacted T&T ROCKS to work on this ad because they are familiar with our documentary style and believe, as we do, in the power of real people and real life – that this has much more potential to connect with people than staged scenarios. The Be Original campaign focuses on a number of talented young Trinidadians who are blazing trails in their fields, and expressing themselves through different forms of art. We didn’t work with a script; instead, we interviewed these youngsters at length and shot them while they practiced their skills in their own locations, wearing their own clothes. Their stories were then brought together with a high-energy finale concert, which was shot in a gritty location we scouted – the excitement, audience reactions, and emotions captured are all real. People connected to the likeable subjects of each ad, as well as to the passion and joy that run through this campaign, urging us all to be original.
